The Choir School Organ Scholar Program
In addition to the excellent choral opportunities available at the Choir School, talented young pianists are also offered the opportunity to learn to play the organ. Young musicians, who are accepted into the program are called Organ Scholars. These keen musicians receive free organ lessons from the Choir School staff. They regularly perform during services, at local RCCO and Kiwanis Music Festivals and are the given the chance to sit for RCCO Diploma Examinations. Our Senior Organ Scholar, Grace, is the youngest person ever to pass an RCCO Diploma, having passed the Colleague Examination at the age of 13.
